When we opened our business in 2001, we chose to become part of a nationwide franchise of digital printing companies. The umbrella company provided us with the tools we needed to learn the business, getting us off to a running start.
It didn’t take long, however, for us to realize that as a franchise operator, we had to abide by rules and procedures that came from a wide national viewpoint. The longer we were in business, the more we learned about what clients need here in greater Rochester—and that perspective told us that it was time to take control.
In 2006, we made the decision to change our model to focus on our business customers. We restructured our facilities, added equipment, and increased our staffing to concentrate on full-color, quick-turn business printing. We adopted and mastered new technologies that allowed us to expand our services to our customers:
In 2008, we invested in a direct imaging four-color press for longer run lengths.
In 2009, we added a laminator, allowing us to produce quality digital prints quickly.
Our digital scoring and folding equipment arrived in 2011, giving us top-quality professional finishing capabilities.
We expanded our web-to-print services continuously through training and development, offering our customers the flexibility of online ordering. Today we build and customize our clients’ portals in-house, using a more robust software solution than our former franchise parent could provide.
In 2014, we added our sign capabilities, taking our digital printing skill set and translating it to large format.
Today Pixos Print provides expert short-run and on-demand printing solutions for small to mid-sized businesses. Our customers eliminate half the time they spend managing print. When your project is in our hands, everything will go precisely as planned.
